Attention Span: The Door In the Wall

As a young girl, one of my favorite movies was The Secret Garden and some of my favorite things were the old skeleton key and the secret door.

The Door In the Wall has all of my favorite elements from that classic story, with a sinister twist that I absolutely love. Though the computer-generated leaves and environment may be too artificial for some, I really enjoy the dreamlike quality they create. The entire thing was shot with a green screen, but the young actress, Imogen Harcombe, does very well at reacting as though the setting were real.

David Lilley and Stephen Gray, from Loonatik and Drinks have made an exceptionally polished film on a remarkably tight budget. I look forward to see what they come up with next.

You can find The Door In the Wall and many other shorts from Loonatik and Drinks on youtube and vimeo. They are also on twitter.
